Thank you for your help! I think I commented on your other video too lol. The only hard parts were getting my tools around to take the three bolts off and on and that back clip was a pain! I took off the three bolts first and then took the clip out. I also took the heat guard and o2 sensor off to give myself a bit more room. I also started taking off the power cable and saw sparks. I forgot to take the negative out lol rookie mistake 😂.

I found it much easier to remove the three bolts first before removing the power wire and plug. Access to these is very difficult while the alternator is in place. Same goes for putting the alternator back in; wire and plug first then bolts. I'm going to rebuild the Mitsubishi alternator I took out so I've got a spare (parts are only $40). Also, it may be easier (for putting the belt back on) to remove the passenger side front tire and wheel well at the start. Routing and setting the belt can be tricky and cause a problem if not done properly so an ounce of prevention...Good video!

18ft pounds got it thanks! If I put in a high output JS Alternator and I want to give an appropriate ground wire in addition to the charge cable would you attach the ground wire to the top bolt or the bottom bolt to keep everything secure?

I have a 2015 renegade, I replaced the alternator back in February. Since then it shows 14.8 volts, have blown a couple headlight bulbs and get random warning lights on the dash once in a while. Could the alternator be defective?

Man, I cannot for the life of me get that second plug out. All of the nuts and bolts on mine were tough to get out due to age but that second plug won’t come out. Any tips on tools that would help?
