The link explains the duality of rhythm and pitch quite well (from Dan Tepfer's Blog):

My brother used to play this every morning on his marching snare <3

This is how the pitch of a car engine results from the rhythm of the cylinders firing.

This gives insight into why engines sound the way that they do

I have to say this might be my favourite Zach Hill performance

anyone else think it sounds like that race car from that really old game?

When it slows down, for a while it doesn't feel like a rhythmic pattern anymore, it just feels like a tone that fell apart.

To consider
The notes have their own pitch, but together they make a metapitch depending on tempo...
Kind of mind blowing

this is actually mind blowing and an extension of one‘s musical horizon

It's a 3 against 2 polyrhythm (the simplest of polyrhythms) and the resultant interval is a perfect 5th, which is the perfectest of intervals (except for octave). How utterly perfect!

That is amazing! One of the best, simple examples of Scope of Tempo I’ve seen, plus the pitch aspect is awesome.

This reminds me of a techno record I had years ago. It started with a slow kik. The tempo increased until it made a tone then a slow kik would come in and the tempo would increase again until 2 tones were audible. The third kik would come in and eventually complete a chord. The whole tune builds this way. Can't for the life of me remember the name.

00:00 Lewis Hamilton's engine has a failure but it is repaired and it is back in the race! Looks like its speeding and 00:41 WHAT A COMEBACK FROM HAMILTON! BEAUTIFUL, NUMBER 1! 0:47 he is slowing down at the turn, Bottas gets around him and he lost the 1st place, and he can't speed up, and his engine failure is back and OOOH HE GOES RIGHT IN THE WALL! WHAT A TURN! and his engine is again ruined.

What happens when you hit a ruler at the edge of a desk and slide it inwards, spin an euler's disk, or press down on a pingpong ball as it is bouncing.

pretty cool that three over two makes a fifth, being a fifth is the skeleton of any harmonic center, and three over two being the skeleton of basically any rhythmic motif. it would be cool to see what rhythms come from a compound 10th, or minor 7th, or major 9th. I put money on finding the same rhythms used in general association with those intervals
