Today we're going over some of the most common questions we receive on this channel, as well as announce immediate plans coming to the channel.

We are also accepting outlines and historical information on a variety of martial arts so that we can produce more "Origin of" videos, so if you have something you'd like to contribute, we would be happy to review it.

Not a specific art, but I'd like to see some interviews with guys like Pat Johnson or Bob Wall. Both are ninth degree black belts under Chuck Norris and knew martial arts icons like Bruce Lee, Ed Parker, Joe Lewis, Gene LeBell and trained celebrities like Steve McQueen, Priscilla Presley, Bob Barker, the Osmonds, etc.

Wall was a student and business partner of both Lewis and Norris, met the Gracies in Brazil in 1988, appeared in four of Lee's movies. He trained Freddie Prinze and is the godfather of Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Johnson was the captain of Norris' competition team, appeared in Enter the Dragon and was one of the top fight choreographers in Hollywood for years, including the four original Karate Kid movies.

If the person asking for self defense against bullying is in school ie high school or below, they should get into wrestling. If their school has a wrestling program they should definitely do that bc it teaches the foundation of what you need for self defense. How to position yourself for certain moves and techniques and there's no bone breaking or maiming techniques that will get you in trouble at school. It's also great strength and conditioning training.

Definitely looking forward to more art history videos.  Very informative.  I didn't know much about Kenpo before I started watching your channel, but I've found the videos regarding Kenpo both informative and entertaining.Your advice in this video about trying out a school and knowing pretty quickly whether or not it's right for you, I've found that to be absolutely true.  When I first decided to get back into martial arts and was shopping around for a school I tried a couple of different ones before I found the Kung Fu school I train at now.  One school that stands out in my mind is a BJJ school I tried.  It seems like a very good school and I know people that still train there.  It's the right fit for them,  but something about it just didn't vibe right with me.  And when I checked out the Kung Fu school, I knew almost right away that this was going to be for me.

Yet again you and everyone on your team, have outdone yourselves Sensei Dan! I definitely agree that this is the best martial arts forum on YouTube and social media in general, where it is not tailored or specifically designated for a particular school, or style!

It is good to see that as the diversified, as well as general, global martial arts community as a whole, we can come here to congregate, learn, share and expand our knowledge and awareness, of each other's cultural, traditional and diversified knowledge, experiences and our own personal journeys, as well as perspectives. Indeed it is great that we are honourable, respectful, tolerant and also welcoming towards each other, without the nasty, biased, trash talk, trolling and dishonourable behaviour, found on other YouTube or social media realms in general.

I am pleased to see that you shall continue to endeavour, along with your team, to bring to us the history, knowledge and traditions of other arts, that I myself for example might not have heard of, or know little or nothing about. I also am pleased to know that you are in collaboration with those of other arts, as well as their own YouTube channels and their other media platforms. I have truly enjoyed your interviews of the various, famous, as well outstanding, inspirational and motivational, martial arts pioneers, such as the great Master Bill 'Superfoot' Wallace and others alike!

It is good to see that you, strive to address, also respond to the questions, needs and concerns, especially those seeking to undertake their journey in the martial arts. Lastly nice Art of One Dojo red t-shirt 👕 😁, red is my favourite colour. The merchandise looks simply awesome. Looking forward to your next segment Sensei Dan! As always greetings and best regards, from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 perseverance is the key☺ ✌ 👍, Osu!

I know that you'll likely do (hopefully several) videos on Goju, but do you think you'll do a comparison between that and the other 3 "main" styles (not as a "which is better" but more of a show of differences in philosophy/technique?)

I'm lucky to have several options where I live and since training further in Ninjutsu is done (the dojo closed due to philosophical differences between the Grandmaster and the dojo head for all of Canada), I thought Karate would be a good one to go for (that and I've always been interested in Kobudo, which from what I see is part of Goju). I'm also interested in joint locks which Goju has as well. So I've been reading/watching everything I can on the main styles. And of course, watching "the Karate Nerd" Jesse Enkamp. I'll need to do a "dojo tour" at some point but every bit of information helps. I think we even have a Kenpo dojo too...Thanks, Mr. Dan for what you do...

I would be glad to work with you on a Shorei/Shuri ryu series. Robert Trias was an amazing personality in American Martial Arts.
