At 1:12 - the "Wondersign, " first installed in 1939, out of commission for the duration of World War II, then operational until about 1948. An ancestor of "Spectacolor."

The films date this to at least the second half of 1947.

0:51 Holy shit, I think this is one of Otto Messmer's works. I had heard that he did 2-tone high contrast films around this time, so this explains is perfectly! Incredible how his style hadn't changed at ALL since the 20s, i had thought that the cartoons themselves WERE from the 20s!
