Dell's Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme Tablet lives up to its name by laughing at drops, splashes, and temperatures that would blow the average slate to smithereens. It's ideal for first responders and factory floors.

It's a real shame that Dell (and every other manufacturer that I'm aware of for that matter) stopped making tablets with stiff-hinge attachable keyboards. Without a stiff-hinge keyboard, these devices are essentially impossible to use on any non-flat surface comfortably. I truly don't understand the thought process behind only including a kickstand on the tablet itself. Have people just randomly stopped using these tablets on their chest or in their laps? Have there been no customer or journalist complaints to that effect? I don't get it. Especially for a tablet like this which is designed specifically to be used outdoors, how are people going to be able to use this on a non-flat surface with that little kickstand?

I've wanted to upgrade from my Dell Venue 11 Pro 7140 (which has been an amazing device) for awhile now, but I haven't because anything on the market right now would be a downgrade. I'm going to have to wind up moving to a 13" 2-in-1 laptop instead of being able to stick with an 11-12" tablet and detachable keyboard.
