Photo walks can be super boring for people to watch on YouTube, so in this video I’m adding another element to the mix by hanging out in a fun location with my artist friend Jane while she sketches and paints, and I take photos.

Shot with Lumix S9 and Lumix 20-60mm and the Lumix G100 and Leica 15mm

Reflectively reminds us that when our gear is not the subject, we can really begin to see! Seeking life in the hidden places has rewards that, if you're lucky, you can get beyond words to share. Masterful, Marlene❣️👍🙂

Very nice Marlene.. this is really the essence of the creative process we all want in our own way. I too have a few little rustic inspiration spots. I see you are actually employing the S9 in the way I think it was truly designed to be used.. just a peaceful, excellent video..

Yep, creating stuff for the sake of creating stuff, is "my jam". Basically sums up everything in my little eclectic corner of YouTube.

Out of curiosity, how would some of those images turn out as B&W?

Miss Marlene, some feedback on location shooting like this from an old pro (51 years active). Always stress the fact of obtaining permission for any type of location access and shoot permissions. Not only does this avoid angry property owners but could also avoid fines as well. Just because a property looks abandoned doesn't mean you have unlimited access to it.

I've known shooters that got shot at, beaten, screamed at, threatened, etc., etc. This is especially important with social media children that are always looking for some place that nobody else has so they can be the first as they can totally destroy a rustic environment and even have access denied to the good people like you.

3:10 just like my home. Lots of junk. You should move in there.
