As Italian as the family is(right from italy) we have a Traditional American dinner…Ham, homemade mack and cheese, veggie, salad and of course dessert. Although I do make Pizza Rustica and Pastia!!

I always make my lasagne the day before with double the amount of sauce. So I’m the evening we have pasta with Bolognese sauce and the next day in the morning I assemble the lasagna with a day old sauce that has developed great flavors.

We used to have Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday dinner.

On Easter Saturday, we had a deep dish Bucatini perciatelli, egg, and cheese pie. Also, Grain pie, rice pie, and cream pie.

Easter Sunday was Antipasto, Pizza Rustica, lasagna, and pastries.

It was impossible not to overindulge.

We'll be having the lamb shanks. Definitely! I'm so old I remember when the butcher would sell lamb shanks for pennies. Then the chefs took over and the price shot up! Same with monkfish - the fishmonger sold them for buttons. The cheese balls look great - a feast for my vegetarian offspring! Grazie Mille!
