Interview with S. Gurumurthy Part 1: The Rise and Fall of Western Development Models

This is the first episode of a 3-part interview with S. Gurumurthy, one of India’s foremost thinkers in economics, political and cultural philosophy. Here he explains his deep insights into the Western Model for Economic Development.
Highlights:
1) Max Weber’s thesis called Protestant Ethic is the foundation used by Western thinkers to explain the origins of modern capitalism.
2) This foundation is based on the Bible and uses some key Judeo-Christian metaphysical premises.
3) These Biblical ideas earlier also entered Marxism even though Marxism opposed religion. Hegel was the thought leader who crystalized such ideas for modern times.
4) In fact, though Communism and Capitalism fight each other, both share certain core ideas that are not in harmony with dharmic metaphysics.
5) This Western model of economics has permeated all modern theories, and has been championed by international agencies such as World Bank, United Nations, etc.
6) India’s Constitution is also based on the same categories and assumptions, making it inconsistent with dharmic principles.
7) So by following this model India has been contradicting its cultural foundations.
8) However, in those areas where India has pursued development according to its own cultural model, it has done far better.
9) Recently, the global economic community has reversed its stand and concluded that the Western model is not suitable as a universal standard.
10) So India must develop and pursue its own development model.

Those familiar with my book, BEING DIFFERENT, will appreciate that we are discussing here another example of Western Universalism that has harmed India’s interests because it was blindly followed.

People who wrote indian constitution ( actually cut-past-copy from western constitutions !! ) were indians only from outside but thoroughly-100% westernised from inside ! . So what really happened in 1947 was that india slipped from visible british control to control by westernised indians (british indians). So the remote control continued albeit in an invisible way ! . The people whom we trusted as our own were actually britishers in Indian clothes !! ( nehru topi with khadi dress with a british mind ).

How was the indian constitution written ?
Was it really written from scratch ?
Was it written from the accumulated indian experiences / understanding of past & vision of future ?
Was it a Cut paste copy from the western constitutions ?

While the Congress leaders were in Ahmednagar jail in 1940s, they were discussing ther future constitution of free India post 1947. The British government allowed copies of documents of british constitution & related literature to be accessed & discussed by congress leaders !

Questions must be raised on the coordinated work of Dr Ambedkar himself !

If western model is destined to fail, it is because its metaphysical foundation is flawed ! . As Gurumurthy pointed out Political Christianity( read Churchinity), Islam (derived from the same abrahamic mold ! ) & ideologies like fascism & communism are all derivatives from the Christiandom. !

Fascism aroused & failed or was defeated in 1945 itself (life span was 15 yrs or less)
Communism failed in 1990s ( around 73 yrs of active life)
Christian saw its major split in medieval age with protestant movement & growing atheism in the west may be a major challenge
Islam ? The questioning has already started in an intense manner with 9/11 . But it seems that that a world war will settle that !
Only after ALL the western ideas are tried / tested & they fail, will the world turn to Dharmic vision !

i am just in awe with this guys. Every video of his is an eye opener for me and i believe for every Indian who wants to know their roots. He is empowering average Indian with the Grand India Narrative which was distorted deliberately by colonial rulers Nehru, leftist authors like Romila Thappr, westerners and more importantly their implanted sepoys for years. The govt still has a herculean task to correct the history books which treats our freedom fighters like Veer Sawarkar, Bhagat Singh and many more as terrorist.
