Austin vows 'significant reaction' if Russia uses chemical or biological in Ukraine

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says Russia would face a "significant reaction from not only the United States but also the global community" for the use of chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine.

The CBS host interviewed 2 important persons lately on the Ukrainian war - respectively Qin Gang, Chinese Ambassador to the USA and Llody Austin, Secretary of Defense.

The host has 2 faces. She interrupted the Chinese Ambassador at least 28 times during a 9-minute interview. She made no interruptions during the interview of similar duration with the Secretary of Defense.

The above says volume how professional and adorable she is?

I must say this about this host. I waited a few shows to get a good feel about her ability or was she just another woman checking the box. I say she's one of the best ever. She's fast on her feet able to think quickly, is well prepared and ask the more difficult questions. She asks more than once to get a comment if necessary and also doesn't seem to pander to those that show no respect to her intellect and try to slide by with idle worthless rhetoric that we've all herd forever. Fantastic host and gives me a little hope our media is not totally corrupt and paid for.

With respect, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin explains things very clearly to Ms Bremmer's tough questions, but isn't it obvious that the only way Putin can stay in power for any length of time is to draw the US and NATO into the battle and make it a wider conflict? The humiliating defeat of Russian ground forces will not be acceptable back home if Putin retreats from Ukraine, nor just conquering the country because the horrendous loss of Russian forces will mean his days are numbered. The only way he can stay in power and live on to make a comeback is to make it a continental conflict and he's doing that now by using his bombing of civilian targets as bait to get NATO and/or America troops in Ukraine. It's an opinion.

Putin and Zelensky, enough already. Forget the US, NATO and China. Think of your people's future. Think of the lost generations on both of your countries. Sure we pay a little higher at the pump but we sleep warmly with a full stomach at night.
