Patrick Holden has been a thought leader in agriculture since the 80’s - but his journey into Adaptive Multi-Paddock Grazing (AMP) only began seen years ago.

In that short time he’s seen more abundance, and has come to believe ruminant animals are a key tool in restoring our soils and building a more resilient food chain.

As Patrick says “being a farmer is trying to farm in harmony with nature.” That’s what AMP Grazing is all about!

Growing more food in yards and using chop and drop or Hugelkulture raised beds also help. People who bag up and throw away all their leaves and grass clippings aren't feeding the soil biology or worms in the soil. Putting a compost bin on the ground can help. Using leaves overwinter on your garden beds can help.
