Some of the people in your comments think they could have done better in your situation and I am so sorry you have to deal with that. I can tell you loved him very much and tried so hard to make him happy. People think you can just change someone and make them stop hurting :/ I appreciate you and I hope you can heal.

It’s a good thing that you can feel his presence around you. It will help to ease the transition, to empower you n your son to heal.
The energy will stay until it knows that you’re doing ok, then they move on.

I know someone who’s entire family was murdered in their home and the husband stayed i the home for a few years after their deaths. He said he felt comfort being there. The guy who commuted the murders was caught within 24 hours of committing the murders.

You should do what makes you happy. You never know what life will bring you. Staying there may be best, or life may take you somewhere else. Be open - as open as you can be - to what life brings you. I know it’s hard. I’m glad you have a support system.

You my dear will know in your heart when and if it's time to move. Having a good support groups and of course your canine buddy is always an excellent situation and who knows maybe you'll decide you want to stay there after all, only you know the answer to that in the end

The odd man out almost always makes it further. Your not odd for having a larger understanding of life. He took his life, not your home, not your child. He just took himself and while that still really really sucks. He would be distraught to know he took more than himself from you. He wanted to remove the problem(that he thought he was but was not) and not your home, your security. He just wanted to take the stress out of your life. You chose to understand that, no matter the hurt it brings, you said "I understand" you know even still it was an act of love, nothing more or less. You are truely strong and beautiful for having such a broad and meaningful understanding of life and existing.
