First built in 1958 (as an Electra L-188) and some still going strong. Awesome to see one of these babies take off and fly by.

Sadly, the Orions are not very cherished here in Germany. People call them "Alte Mühlen" (old mills) and worse....

Less than 250 knots, the landing lights were extended. I have watched a better P-3 flyby in my squadron, VP-92. They were going so fast that the plane past and the sound had a delay to it because they were so far ahead of the sound of the engines. They started at 10, 000 feet, nosed over into a 30 degree downward dive with the throttles on the firewall (if we had a firewall, so max RPM/Torque) the whole way.

It can have 10 bomb racks on the wings and this plane doesn't have any. SMH.
