Building a rapport with the guests is one thing but agreeing with two contradictory statements in two podcasts is hypocrisy. MBA is dead for a new startup founder who is trying to rethink business education. While it will always be a gold standard for someone who did one from IIM and went to do other things.
MBA is neither dead nor should everyone be doing an MBA.

"Everyone should do an MBA" is incredibly counterproductive. Regardless of what an MBA does or does not teach you, what's more important than that is to remember that it is a signaling device (to signal intellect, commitment, motivation what have you). Between two candidates, one with and the other without an MBA degree, employers will choose the MBA guy (all else equal assumption holding, of course). If everyone is in the market with an MBA degree the distinguisher is lost. Then people are going to have to compete on some other trait/aspect. With time even that might get saturated. The equilibrium dynamics are pretty much like how a bachelor's degree was sufficient to get a job during our grandparents' time, but not any more (why?). Soon an MBA is also not going to be sufficient. "Everyone should do an MBA" is just going to get us there faster.
