Surah Maryam Ayah 33

وَالسَّلامُ عَلَيَّ يَومَ وُلِدتُ وَيَومَ أَموتُ وَيَومَ أُبعَثُ حَيًّا


“Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I will be raised back to life!”


Allah سبحانه وتعالى speaks through Isa AS and says “on the day I will die” not days (plural). Hence Isa AS will die only once, a natural death, not one due to betrayal.

"Every soul will taste death" and one of the reasons is that Isa as will come again in this world to die and to fulfill what Allah said in this ayah

The wisdom behind this because when Allah took the soul from someone thet means he will not be alive again until the day of resurrection so means jesus is a full human creature if he didn't die that means there's possibly to return to this world before the end of time.

SubhanAllah, so clear. I would like to know what are the others principle of Tafsir, i know that an ayah can be interpreted by using another ayah or by using a Hadith, but I don't know the rest. It would be useful in order to directly spot the people who are making wrong interpretations for example.

If we argue that it referring to death rather than sleep just for the sake of the argument, it doesn’t affirm the Christian belief because in the Christian belief you don’t just believe that he died but also the way of death was on the cross not natural death or by stabbing or anything like that, and the Quran clearly states that he was not crucified and that’s the main point.
