can we just talk about the amazing voice actiong for Hunter during this scene. the crack in his voice as he is questening Belos, the desperation. the higher pitched sad voice after belos called him a grimwalke. it is a incredibal

I’m still not over that small “What?” Hunter said, in just a few sentences his entire life was confirmed to be a lie, he had no family, he had no purpose, he was a toy, he was a clone, he wasn’t a ‘real person, ’ he was nothing more than a puppet.

So grimwalkers seem to me similar to like the clones in clone wars. Hunter is essentially like a clone version of someone from Belos’s past (probably his brother). Anyways like the clones Hunter doesn’t have the memories of the original he is his own person. His body is almost an exact copy of the original but his sole and personality is exclusive to him. That’s my way of seeing it at least, or until we get an in show explanation.

In S2E09 there's a page open in a book listing the ingredients for a grimwalker. One of them is Selkidomus scales. Remember the Selkidomus hunt is S2E01 led by The Golden Guard? That means Belos was already planning on killing Hunter AND was having him collect the parts for his replacement.

I can't help but think at 0:40 that the little gesture (flicking Hunter's strand of hair) was something Phillip did with his brother Caleb when they were having fun or playing around. For a moment it's like Belos remembers this and wants to do this one more time.

Belos thought his last words to Hunter would be telling him how his worst fears were true and he was always utterly replaceable. And he's smiling at 0:42. It's completely calculated to cause him the most pain possible.

Wittabane is actually Belos and changed it to Belos because he has been kicked out of too many towns

Something happened to Caleb (his brother) and needed him to continue his work so he created Hunter

Now all that is left is for Hunter to be Eda’s biological offspring
