This is also how vocaloid is able to do concerts, and this is how gorillaz does it too.

This can also be achieved by taking a clear reflective piece of plastic and putting it at an angle in a modified shoe box. Place your phone over top with any hologram ready (not the triangle ones) video, and BAM!, you have a "hologram" in your room.
Theres lots of videos online on how to do it, and its a neat little thing to have in your room. Love this
