dmr AES256 with the btech 6x2 and Motorola XPR7550e

Показать описание
compatibility between the DMR 6X2 and the Motorola XPR 7550E running AES-256 encryption. please note, that to legally use encryption on radio bands, you must have a part 90 frequency license. encryption is not allowed on the ham bands, or GMRS or FRS frequencies. these tests were done on a properly licensed part 90 itinerant frequency that I am authorized to use.

AES 256 is the highest level of encryption currently available to civilians, it is also certified for top secret information transmission. for best results, you should use a 64-digit key between both radios, otherwise with the 6X2, you need to pad the key with zeros to make it 64 characters

Learned a lot in a few shorts minutes. Thank you for the information. I'm beginning to think tech 6x2 might be the way to go for me at the moment.

I just got the Anytone AT D878UVII radio that is the twin to that BTECH. I just love the thing. It has GPS and does APRS on analog and digital. I am working on an encryption key for it now. Thanks for the video.

Wow. You answered the big question - the DMR-6x2 does AES256! Thanks.

Thanks for making this info available. I really wish we can get more people in the open source community to be working on this stuff. We need some solid hardware platforms and some solid software code bases. Imagine what we could do.

How do you get the AES256 loaded on a XPR7550E?

I just found this channel and was disappointed to see nothing recent.

Hope everything is ok.

The AnyTone 878 series supports AES-256 but I have not played with it yet.
I use Hytera DMR for my business and P25 for work. Hytera now has remote (and local, by pressing a combination of keys) key erasure and codeplug erasure.

Thanks ..

Do you by chance know how i activate the aes feature in the software because for whatever reason the aes feature seems pale/deactivated no matter which version i flash em to.

just wanted to make 1 correction- if the motorola radio is found, they can not view or get your encryption key. if the radio is read from another computer/ not the same code plug that was used to program encryption key, the key will have a zero with a line through it. 0/ also the code plug can be password protected to prevent it from even being read.

Hey man, thought you might be intereted that the Zastone/Vitai UV008 now supports aes 256. I've got one but I'd be really interested to see it work with a Motorola

Would the DMR signal sound better if used with 25KHz bandwidth? I don't know if the FCC maintains any 25KHz bandwidth licenses for business use anymore. Using a cheap chinese radio, my 12.5KHz DMR sounds all compressed and robotic on HAM bands

Hey! Curious how you got the AES key into the BTECH? I have a couple BTECH 6x2’s I need to get to work for a business channel, but I can’t get the AES option to work via the 6x2 program. Curious if you were using the PRO model? - thanks

Anyone know if the anytone AT-D878UVII also has AES-256 (isnt the Btech just a rebranded Anytone?) Or the TYT MD-UV380?

Hi. Can this radio will work with Motorola dp4800 with aes 256 encryption?

Do you know what the entitlement/part number was from Motorola MOL to get the AES Advanced Privacy in CPS? My account was just activated but I can't find anything. Do I need to request it specifically from support?

Motorola sucks. Their hardware is top notch, but their software is garbage. Their licensing is garbage. I hate Motorola, but I love my Motorola base station. Damn it
