I like the subtlety when the Oompa Lumpas arrive. Idk if it was on purpose or not, but I imagine these types irl do this.

He knew Charlie was uncomfortable, and he knew the Oompas were making him more uncomfortable, but also being more obvious. So, to make him look good, he made them clear off quickly to try and make Charlie feel safe around him.
