This is probably one of the lesser known Asimov robot stories. and is fairly short, but packs quite a bit of lore into it. A great read as well.

i just read this story, and ive been analizyng it and i just cant completely understand the logic behind daneels reasoning, when he says that it would be easier for a robot to switch from lying to telling the truth than the reverse.

if a robot is lying, its because it received an order to do so, and swtiching from lie to truth would require the robot to go against the second law, so, in theory, it will always be easier to go from truth to lie than the opposite

This is another prescient story by IA. In today's world of intense competition to produce academic publications in science, we are seeing an increase in claims of plagiairism .. (and also attempts at using AI to write papers based on fake research).
