How to know if your kid swallowed a button battery

Tiny button batteries (AKA button cell batteries, coin batteries) can be so dangerous for kids. When a kid comes to the ER after swallowing one, we start to move really, really fast because they can cause damage very quickly. This is why it's so important to know where they are in your house and keep them away from your kids! But how do you know if they swallowed one and what to look for?
