Not really disappointing. You of all people should know this wouldn’t be feature packed. I was very much expecting just a quality of life update. I think grouped notifications, group Facetime, and Siri shortcuts are the best things you’re going to get. I’m not disappointed because I didn’t expect much more.

With an iPhone X you can now swipe up to close an app in the app switcher. You do longer need to hold the app and then swipe up. Finally!

I'm so happy this is here for iPhone 5s and iPad Mini 3 still, I've upgraded from my 5s to a Moto G5S Plus but it's still nice to have the 5s get an update that'll hopefully make it perform way better.

One thing people might not notice, if you have an iPhone X on iOS 12 the swipe to close apps is back, no longer need to hold a recent app to close it, just swipe up normally just like other iPhone models.

One change i liked is deleting open apps! Now you can just swipe up to delete im glad they brought that back, its way better than keeping your finger on the apps then swiping up to delete

iOS 12 is nothing but iOS 11 with a few add-ons. What a disappointment. Nothing we asked for addressed. Volume HUD? Nope, regardless of how simple the UI Adjustment is. Dark mode? Nope, also some UI tweaks that would most likely NOT introduce any bugs. They're completely delusional about what the people want and care about. A whole bunch of gimmicks at this point. How many of those features are you going to use? – probably none. Seriously, who cares about Animoji?

Got huge improvements on my iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 12 beta 1! The „speed“ improvements were specially designed for the older devices which almost have gotten unusable in iOS 11... I‘m seeing huge improvements for my old iPhone 6 Plus and this is just beta 1.
