I'm currently learning to code in Javascript and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how it was getting the remainder numbers. Turns out, I've completely forgotten what they actually were! Haven't used them since learning them as a child so clearly haven't stuck around haha. Thanks for (re)teaching this man.

Another way of thinking about is:
13÷4, which number will get me the closest to 13 if i multiply it by 4? It's 3 which will give you 12, and how close is it? You only need 1 to reach 13. so here's you answer 13÷4= 3 r1

I'm not sure what are they learning kids at school these days especially in UK. For example you need to divide 12 into 5 equal parts and they have the answer of 2r2. If you need to divide 10 into 4 parts it's 2r2 again. So you get a measuring tape and look for 2r2? Why don't they learn kids answers like 12:5 =2.4 or 10:4= 2.5? No wonder some managers these days have no idea of difference between millimeter and centimeter.
