We're nearing the end of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series, which means it's time for riders and teams to start discussing potential contracts for future race seasons.

This will be an interesting silly season in more ways than one, as a handful of riders are coming to the end of their current contracts. Multi-time champions like Eli Tomac, Jason Anderson, and Marvin Musquin are the most notable, as these guys are all looking for what might be the last deals of their professional careers. Will they want to continue for another three or five years, or should we expect a farewell tour in 2022?

In addition to this, teams are paying attention to the free agents with a handful of exceptional finishes to their record, which means guys like Aaron Plessinger and Malcolm Stewart could be due for a new deal.

We've talked to our sources in the pits over the last few weeks, and while the dealings are far from complete, there are plenty of things in the works.

I'm so tired of the industry crapping on Nationals. It's the superior series in my opinion. Sx is figure skating and Mx is hockey. They both take skill and finesse, one is just a lot more physically demanding and had truly core fans.

I'm with you Dirty Al ! think outdoors is the best real motocross series no questions asked. SX is all too the same with stadium tracks....

If craig gets the ride over mookie i can not understand the decision. Mookie has a sx championship and since then he was doubted too much. This season he was so strong, why would you not get a solid 5th and potential podium guy? In that field to be top 5 all day you habe to get one of the best deals man

Supercross has been ruined. The Atlanta and Daytona races were watchable but most of the tracks suck and that company that runs supercross needs replaced, along with the ama.

Malcolm is getting shafted by the MX community at every turn. He has been getting better each season and guys like Craig falter every season, yet they get rewarded with rides. That is moto for ya.

Bro Stewart to KTM would be sick. Dudes been on it this year and is very consistent

I remember when the MX nationals were over before silly season began.
Too much focus on JumpoCross.

Doesn’t hurt anything that there are little to no 250 riders other than CC pointing out into next year

Hard to understand some that was said, Anton speaks faster than a southern rapper.

Him and RedBull KTM have been together since 2019 when he won two MX2 world championships? I do believe you mean 2009 sir.

I would love to see El Hombre racing the GP's, he has always been interested on Racing MXON...

Tomac should race the outdoor Nationals in 2021 - hopefully a title - then retire on top.
