+MissW - I don't understand, please, why you suggest that the most IMPORTANT part is always in the middle (ie. between the two m-dashes)?

I think what you may mean is that: even though the content in the middle-of-the-sandwich is 'supplementary', this data is in fact the most crucial/dramatic element in the clause? This is with particular reference to you 'endangered elephants' example.

Absolutely SUPERB video! I wish I had discovered this earlier. Beautifully presented and full of many highly valuable devices. In fact the tuition offered here is so excellent that it is a shame the video is not twice as long!
