Navy Combat aircrew "Charlie" crashed on Mount Tamalpais California, on November 30, 1944. This video shows the wreckage which is still at that location, just off the "Vic Haun" trail.

The plane was a two-engine Martin PBM-5 Mariner. Eight crew members were on board, all of whom were lost.

oh geez. I just found this spot yesterday and it appears half of the wreckage seen in this video four years ago is no longer there. What a shame. It really seems like thieves have taken a lot of it in the last four years. So sad and so disrespectful. Keep this location secret.

Thanks for the moving video. I'd like to visit the site and pay my respects by leaving a small flag. I believe it's off the Hoo Koo E Koo Trail. Any tips you can offer on how to locate the unmarked turn off t that leads to the wreckage? I see it goes through some low lying Manzanita. Thanks very much! Dan
