It is beautiful but it is becoming a land of huge inequality. 😮

If I was rich, I wouldn't live in Vancouver. Terrible weather for 9 months of the year

I’m surprised that cities like Vancouver and Toronto aren’t in doom loop. At least not yet.

Scrap all the red tape and start taking action. The west coast express is the most under utilized transit system but it could be a gold mine for the city. More stations could added and surrounding land could be leased to developers to build mixed use developments all along the route of the west coast express. Canada is the only country in the G7 without a high speed rail system. This is exactly what we need to increase housing supply with a transit system that stretches from the waterfront to Mission.

Technically super wealthy are the work providers for all to make some cash and spend it after. 🎉 Not sure why a lot of people are complaining.

Meanwhile families can't find a place to live in. Support for disabled people is just over $1000 and that's not even enough to support one person, let alone a family. Nobody apparently cares or is willing to rent to someone with disabilities, all the ads for rent demand people prove their working, have enough of an income to pay rent. There are hundreds of landlords who want, not need the income, yet a lot of them still refuse to pay taxes on that income as well.
BC has become a place where the rents, housing costs drain the entire economy. People CAN'T afford rent from service work, so soon those jobs will be gone, a long with the families that once lived here. More jobs will go unfilled, businesses will drop out.

Hah… and the super poor. I’m a single mom widow and can barely make rent since the province allows rent hikes beyond what anyone who’s not rich can afford. And why do we have so many homeless? Shame on you rich people…yes I get it you worked for it but we work our asses off too and can barely even afford a loaf of bread anymore.
