Rio the 3D animated film from 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios is all set to launch in April 2011 !!
"RIO" is a story of a nerdy macaw who leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro. He embarks on the adventure of a lifetime, learning to open himself up to all that life has to offer along the way.
The characters are voiced by Jesse Eisenberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Anne Hathaway, Rodrigo Santoro, Kate del Castillo, Jamie Foxx, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez, Leslie Mann, Jemaine Clement and Robin Thicke.

Good news about the blue macaw. The species has been brought back to life!

A few species have been released into the wild and hopefully they start integrating themselves to their new habitat.

The colours, the music was so perfect

Rio 2 ruins the main plot of this story. I mean the only reason why Blu and Jewel got together was because they are close to extinction and had to mate to produce offspring but then in Rio 2 they weren't extinct after all which is kind of a let down

This is one of my favorite animated movies of all time. If not my all time favorite. The music was always perfect, the characters were always incredible. The environment and setting was done masterfully, the animation was perfect, the characters look very alive and realistic for a movies that came out in 2011. This movie is a beautiful love story about 2 birds who differ from each other and about blu learning how to be a bird. I love this movie with every fiber of my being, I am extremely excited for more information on Rio 3. This movie was my childhood, and will always be in the warmest, deepest, most passionate place in my heart. This is as textbook example of a perfect movie in my opinion, everything was done perfectly in this movie.

With the case of Rio 2…
Unlike many people, I actually welcome this movie as a good sequel to an already perfect movie, sure it’s not perfect, it’s not as good as Rio, but I welcome it as a sequel to the movie. I just hope that Rio 3 can continue to encapsulate the greatness of Rio
1 and 2.

All in all, Rio is my comfort movie and is one of my favorite movies of all time. I find joy in knowing that there are people out there like me who still love this movie years later, and that people still love the original soundtrack to this movie along with Rio 2. Looking forward, I can only hope that Disney does not screw up Rio 3. Here are my official demands:

1. The movie is animated properly and held to the same quality as blue sky. (It better not look like Ice age 6)

2. The movie is NOT a spin-off and includes the original characters from Rio 1 and 2. I only want to see the characters we have already seen and the continuation moving on from Rio 2

3. I also stress the importance of the cast, PLEASE BRING BACK THE CAST! The voice acting from these people is irreplaceable. And it should NOT be changed. The cast from Rio seems to be open to more movies. So please re-hire them.

4. Stay true the the first 2 movies. Don’t try to severely shake up the series. Rio 2 didn’t try it, so you shouldn’t try it either. The movies are fine just the way they are.

I just hope Disney will listen to these and make my childhood dream come true.
