Barber: 'Commando March' - Frederick Fennell Conducting the USCG Band, in May of 1981

The United States Coast Guard Band was pleased to have Fred Fennell as a guest conductor for most of this concert, including this piece.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this. I've been waiting for years for a Frederick Fennell version of this. I first heard it at the ripe old age of 13. The album was called "Macho Marches" performed by the Cleveland Symphonic Winds (if I remember correctly). So many great marches on that record but my favorite was The Commando March. Love Fennell's version. So stirring.
