Finally, someone who could explain these three components in layman terms. Thank you.

This was a great video! To share my quick lookup, the DNS "A Record" stands for "address", and "MX" stands for "Mail Exchange". Easy to remember in context

Thank you. Very well explained. I understood the difference between Domain Name Registrar and DNS. The Registrar I was using provides DNS also and it was getting very difficult to understand what was going on.

what are the advantages of having DNS separately hosted (not on Godaddy?)
you mentioned that you can individually configure A and MX records. But you can do the same thing if it was hosted on your registrar (godaddy)
another point from the video is that it's more secure. Not sure how that works. Is that the only advantage of using Cloudflare over godaddy?
extra security (if true) is a plus. But extra difficulty, having two separate accounts, having to remember two passwords is a disadvantage

Thank you for explaining: I have quick question, Example if I want to divert the emails to email hosting... Where should I create a mx record.. do you want to configure on the DNS provider or domain registrar

Does the registrar always have to remain the same for a domain name ? What prevents them from hiking the price up if you can't take your domain elsewhere ?
