Arguably one of the most terrifying and traumatic video game bosses from our childhood that we were all terrified of facing, meanwhile this guy is running laps around him while blasting him in the face like Doomguy with a super shotgun.

This boss fight always used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. Hearing IG88 clinking and clunking in the background - never knowing where he might be - until he creeps up on you. So I never used to run around. I'd sit in a corner and lay into him with pulse rounds (often getting wasted myself) but at least I'd see him coming 😂

2:26 the couple seconds of hearing ig88 move around and then silence terrified me as a kid. I would just be standing on my bed trembling as I held the n64 controller waiting to see him appear out of nowhere lol.

As a kid I’d hide in a corner, easiest way to fight him. Terrifying though.

I love that the concept of this game was literally just, "uuuh what if Han Solo's acquaintance fought some of Boba Fett's ... contemporaries?"

And it's still one of the best Star Wars games of all time.

The only reason I even thought about it was that I got hit in the chest with a steel rod today and said, "uUUuh!" like when you take fall damage in this game lol.

man i remember being like 10 playing this and being scared shitless by ig-88's weird ass sound he made, then he kicked my ass like 7 times

This was where this game ended for me as a kid. I could never get passed this. I think I eventually cheated and shot nukes at the thing, but it was a bitter victory and I never finished the game.
