Shimano Di2 Synchro Shifting Explained

The next progression in road riding arrived in June 2016 with the release of the new highly anticipated Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset. The new system boasted some impressive upgrades on previous iterations but none more so than synchronised shifting. While synchronised shifting is new to Shimano electronic Di2 road products, this automated system has been used with great success for some time in the mountain bike world via Shimano's XTR and XT Di2 groupsets.

I ride fully synchro all the time time I rde alot of flat roads. If I'm going on a ride and know the is hills I go semi

Personally I think that looks like a good way forward, but I have one reservation which you might be able to answer. When changing gears either in "Full" or "Semi" how does this actually effect the pedal stroke. By that I mean when I change manually now I remove of pressure on the pedal stroke for a millisecond or two. How does this work with semi or full?

How do you disable gear position control on the E-TUBE app ?I need to put the bike on the smallest Cog in the front and back chainrings to mount into the wahoo kickr. The system doesn’t allow me to do this in the app. I have also tried installing both parallels and VMware fusion on the Mac to install shimano pc application but shimano’s usb interface is not being pickup by both instances of the virtualization software.

I wouldn't adopt this piece of tech even if they gave it to me for free. I like having total control over my shifting, thank you very much. Wake me up when in 1x systems, the front chainring moves in and out to allow for better chain alignment...

I shift front and rear with one hand on my downtube shifters as well and I have brain so when I don't want to do that I shift only front without need of plugging in computer to re program it, then next hill I can shift both front and rear again, marvelous what human brain can do and no need to charge battery.
