Kids who are abused never look at it as abuse. Look at all the successful drivers who had hood fathers. Max was going to be a hood driver anyway. Jos was just a douchebag who happened to have a talented son. Max must have got the skill from his mom as Jos was terrible at racing, even with all the cheating going on at Benetton.
