Yep mines the same, I also brought a more expensive Oxford cover and the tapes have come off the seams now so it also isn't waterproof but at least it hasn't gone thin and torn. They just can't cope with wind.

Mine started to split after 6 months. ..its been patched up so many times ...it looks horrible. ..fortunately my bike is parked out of view in my back yard ..
