Tobias Menne - Global Head of Digital Farming, Member of the Executive Leadership Team of BASF Agricultural Solutions, will be discussing 'How outcomes drive adoption of new digital ecosystems: The case of Xarvio (BASF)'
Jürgen Vangeyte - Head of the department Agrifood Technology at ILVO, will be looking at DjustConnect: building a trusted data ecosystem in Agrifood
This is a question to Tobias: First of all, thank you so much for the great insights. Two questions: (1) I wonder whether you think that competition shifts from physical products to platform competition, what do you think enables Xarvio to orchestrate the winning technological system/ecosystem? (2) What will be the role of the farmer - just the landowner (no own decision making)?
Atanu Chaudhuri
Your offerings are similar to outcome-based offerings in the industrial world which took many years to adopt despite the benefits. How easy or difficult is it for you to convince the farmers or farmer cooperatives and more importantly in emerging markets
Terence Deffenu
I am curious about the internet connection in rural scenarios. Who is the partner (mobile operator? private network?) for connectivity and what type of connection is being used in general? Maybe IoT doesn’t require a constant stream of large data, but definitely I assume a wide coverage is needed
Terence Deffenu
I have a similar question on the market to add on the previous: what’s the typical age of your customer persona? Are they already millennials or are they from an older generation?
Kamila Truskowski
Dear Tobias and Juergen, thank you for your presentations, for me it is a great opening of further discussions.
How important is digital technology in your business - is it core? What are the pillars key technologies for your businesses?
Kamila Tratkowska
second question for both, Tobias and Jurgen is about the networking and symbiosis effects, in ecosystem either - can you please describe, list the stakeholders and all the interested in the context of your companies? (With no exact names but classifying them to depict the entire ecosystem of your companies)
Marcela Ramirez-Pasillas
Thank you for an interesting seminar on the development of agriculture.
Carsten Nico Hjortsø
Maybe a bit of target in relation to today's agenda, but what do you think are the most promising industry 4.0 technologies and systems of relevance for smallholder-based agriculture in for example Africa?
Jorgen Audenaert
Very nice presentations from both Tobias and Jurgen. Well done
Christophe MILLER
Thanks for the quality of organisation and participants
Nobuyuki Kishida
Thanks. Standardization NPO will be helpful to approach Japanese agriculture market, if you want to. It is because most of our farms are family owned and smaller than global standards. So, they are afraid of making contact with foreign businesses generally. It is my comment to the kind answer to my previous question.
