The X-Ray Craze of 1896

In 1895, an incredible invention was made, leading to one of the most revolutionary pieces of medical equipment ever created. German engineer Wilhelm Roentgen created the first iteration of the x-ray machine. But the fascinating discovery would capture the interest of the masses, with many wanting to see inside themselves in a way previously thought impossible. But what was left unknown to many who were intrigued by the new technology, was just how dangerous the levels of radiation they were intaking from their, at times, daily x-ray hobbies. This was the X-ray craze of 1896.
