David Clarke reads Sherlock like Hugh Fraser reads Poirot. Interpretation, pacing, inflection etc. a delight. Since losing sight in one eye, reading is harder. Audio books of this standard more than compensate. Thank you to Mr. Clarke..

People think that audio books are only for the visually impaired. In fact, they free us from the flickering screen and allow us to enjoy a story narrated by an excellent reader while getting on with a multitude of things. They take the drudgery out of tasks such as making beds, polishing shoes, ironing and folding clothes, sweeping floors and many more. How very stimulating!

I listen while I am falling asleep. I have migraines it is easier on my eyes. I love these stories.

I had a problem with an artery to my eye, so had to cut down reading..but the spealalist said listen to audio books, , what pleasure it is lying in my cosy bed with a GNT..and now iv enjoyed so many great books for free the last 2 years.The artery is good now thanks to cortisone..
