Cure Violence Clip 2 – Cook County Hospital, Philadelphia

Cure Violence is an organization that works in some of the most violent neighborhoods in America with statistically proven, data–driven programs that successfully reduce crime. Their approach? Treat violence like a contagious disease. When a person is exposed to violence they are more likely to commit a violent act, unless the cycle is interrupted. Operating in over 50 communities around the globe through their CeaseFire affiliates, their mission is to use the health approach to tackle violence prevention. The Social Action campaign for "A Most Violent Year" will highlight the methods behind Cure Violence’s success with the goal of bringing its approach to more communities nationwide.
