How are people getting scammed thru Zelle. I'm curious

There is a huge problem with Zelle and being scammed. Yes if you use it and send money to one random family member... Obviously you are safe. The problem is these master scammers are ripping off people's accounts and disappearing and it happens all to often. I want to say that Navy Fed won't back your money if you get scammed using Zelle... And Navy Fed is great for refunding money if you were to get scammed from your NAVY FED account

This is happening to gullible people and would happen even if they didn't have zelle.

I can't listen right now, but I surely hope Zelle isn't going away, I love Zelle. People get scammed when they don't watch the red flags waving in their face & they will get scammed one way or another.

You would think that financial crimes like these leave an easily traceable electronic paper trail that leads to the culprit(s).

This does not make any kind of sense, in order for a person to transfer money from zelle, they need to log into a person's bank account first, so obviously there's something going on with their bank account online security passwords and whatnot. A person cannot make an external withdrawal from a person's zelle account attached to their Bank.... A lot of information is missing on the part of the news report
