Would be scanning traffic there for next few days at same time if you havent done it already! That suxs happened to me about 15 yr ago, sideswiped me on passenger side and kept going, paid the 1k excess eventually over 10k damage done on new mercedes at the time

Current model KIA Cerato - possibly a GT by the wheels. I would examine the raw video frame by frame see if the plate can be discerned. What an absolute shitbag to run a light and then to run off after contact.

Look left, look right then go if safe. Been guilty of going a bit then looking then stopping but that is rare. Usually I'm looking before the light even goes green.

The DC driver may have seen him, but in most cases you expect driver to stop as they are approaching a red light. DO people think we have to stop just because another car is approaching a red light. When can be aware of all the things and yet still get fools. The few cashes I have had are people that were totally switched off what was happening. Straight through red lights or stop signs, not stopping at all

Yeah, always treat controlled intersections like a give way, ie take a second look before proceeding through, the roads are full of idiots.

I can help. Look to see what is not stopping before you proceed on the green light. Green doesn't mean go, it means look both ways before you go.

Always check, always double check, you should have seen that car coming because you should have checked.

Everyone out there is so arrogant just assuming laws and rules will protect you... Tell me that while you're in hospital breathing out of a tube.

I don't care for your reply of "law" it's a simple matter of checking before you depart and having 100% total and continual awareness.

Law doesn't save you.. it just makes paper work.
