“The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride” is criminally underrated. If the movie had gotten a theatrical release, I bet it would have grossed more than many other Disney Classics did....and the same goes for “Aladdin and the King of Thieves”.

Shocked that Lion King 2 is so low, it’s an amazing film that deals with prejudice in a very real way. Also shocked theres not even a mention of Lady and the Tramp2 or Little Mermaid 2.

Yes, you should watch the Lion King 2.
I will however, always hold up Aladdin and the King of Thieves as the shining example of why 'Straight to Video' isn't synonymous with 'bad'. They brought back Robin Williams and bumped the animation quality back up to the levels of the original film. Sa'Luk is quite badass, actually getting a better villain song than Jafar! I also appreciate that they made a unique design for every single one of the 40 thieves.

I remember watching The Lion King 2 all the time at my grandparents' when I was younger. That and The Return of Jafar, and they became my favorite direct to video sequels. I think my grandma still has the VHS tapes for them
