Why would anyone want to sleep with a baby ? that's what cribs are for you can move the crib in your room if you want to be protective

Is there a reason why I've never seen a taut fishing net tied to the four bedposts of a four poster bed? The baby would sleep on top of the net, and the mom would sleep under the net. The net would be at human chest level, so that the baby can consume human milk at will through the large holes of the netting. The holes of the net should be large so that the baby's nasal mucus, saliva, or sputum cannot pool into a puddle where they could suffocate in their own bodily fluid. Extra netting can be sewn in so that it's perpendicular to the mattress/floor/earth's surface so that the baby cannot roll off the net and onto the hardwood floor, making a "splat!" noise. What do engineers think of this? Has it ever been considered? Are there risks to this design?

Safe co-sleeping rules:
1. Only the mother should co-sleep, no other children or adults in the bed with the baby
2. Mother should have no health issues, no medications that affect alertness, no alcohol, no sleep disorders.
3. Sleep surface should be a firm mattress only
4. The bed should be free of pillows and covers which could pose a hazard to the baby.
5. The baby should sleep on its back, not it's belly.

Co-sleeping reduces the risk of SIDS when practiced according to these safety rules.
