Russia v Egypt | 2018 FIFA World Cup | Match Highlights

Russia’s delight in their home FIFA World Cup™ continued after a hotly-contested clash with Egypt burst into life in the second half.

Egypt captain Ahmed Fathi handed Russia a gift by deflecting into his own net while Denis Cheryshev and Artem Dzyuba then repeated their opening-match heroics by netting twice in three minutes to extinguish almost all of Egypt’s remaining hope. Mohamed Salah struck from the penalty spot but it wasn't enough for the Pharaohs.

I miss Egypt back in 2009 and 2010 when they were one of the top 10 best teams in the world. And how they played against strong countries and either ties with them or beat them. I can’t believe seeing my country’s national team not performing well. Only mo salah is performing well. What a shame. I wanted Egypt to become a strong team again. What a huge shame. I feel bad for salah.
