Ison Orion Nebula and Andromeda from West Ar

Ison

Ison was imaged from a Orion SkyQuest 16' Dobsonian with a Nightscape 8300CCD camera.

M42 and M31 were imaged from a Meade 16' LX 200 ACF with the Nightscape 8300CCD camera.

Kinda hard to say. Ison is not brightening as it should. If it holds together you should be able to see it with the naked eye within the next 3 weeks. Thanks for the kind words. Much love and blessings to you.

Very possible. The light curve of Ison has not moved up at all for over 2 weeks

The fact that the mainstream news is not talking about ISON or having 'ISON watching parties' like the 'Transit of Venus' worries me. I think this comet with all it's debris field is going to be much messier than people think. Also when it whips around the sun at that speed there IS going to be magnetic instability on the sun in a big way. Whatever that means in terms for CMEs, Flares, Solar Tsunamis or filament eruptions.
