Excellent video. This worked for me but I had to hold the button down for almost 30s during boot up. And the dvr machine made a long beep. That’s how you know the reset worked.

i figured it out thanks, i had to remove the little fan, which way is the fan facing

Faster and easier that calling Tech Support. One thing I miss about my Night Owl CCTV system, a password was optional. FYI this DIY also worked rebooting my Lorex 4K Fusion DVR Model No D881A8B-Z

Hi Jason, I have a 16 Ch. NVR N861D6 - Been great for 3+ Years, all of a sudden, it Locks up/Freezes and I have to reboot, then all is good for 2-4 days, I've done the New power Strip, plug it in directly to the wall outlet with no luck - Note: it crashes when I'm searching for videos' - suggestions?
