I can't express how much I love watching interviews with Teddy Long. He just seems like a cool ass, good hearted man that's down to earth.

This man went through a lot in the Wrestling business. Wickedness has put it in the world’s view point, that blacks are beneath others, in particular some whites in Teddy’s case. All people in this world need is an opportunity to show what they can do, Teddy showed that he was one of the best to ever work in the Wrestling business. I know Vince McMahon has all kinds of allegations against him and all that, but I respect that man for giving Teddy an opportunity to show case his talent.

When Teddy came on as GM, I forgot he had worked as a ref and manager. He recreated himself well

The referee that made the three count when Steamboat beat Flair for the World Title.

Ric Flair was cold towards him for no good reason, called him the N word. I wonder how he felt the day Teddy became GM.

I remember watching Teddy Long in the 80's when he was the referee
at the NWA superstation studio. He had the Jeri curl then.
Him and Mike Jackson was a staple to the company. Every Saturday Night
at 6:05 you would see them. Salute to Teddy Long.

I think that Teddy Long exemplifies how Vince McMahon & WWF/E would do to people from other organizations: Hogan, Austin, Undertaker, Benoit, Chris Jerico, Eddie Guerro, Teddy Long here & others who weren’t elevated elsewhere were able to “prove themselves” here. By the same token, many who got a big push elsewhere were buried! (DDP, Booker T, Dusty Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, etc)

I can’t imagine being a black man in old mid-south and Deep South WCW. I’m a younger black man I don’t think I could have endured what that man endured.

Good management, good writers and people who took their jobs seriously. That's why WWE is still around and Eric Biscoff and WCW are not.

I don’t know I can’t help but feel that he didn’t get along with those mentioned but he’s trying to save face and keep up appearances.

Teddy was a great manager, IMO second only to Bobby Heenan as a manager (heel or face). It was obvious that he was giving it everything he had to make sure his talent “got over” no matter where they stood on the card.
