Be the first to complete a 2000km continuous mission with an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle under the sea ice
The World Climate Research Program (WCRP) and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (FPA2) are jointly promoting a Polar Challenge competition, which will reward the first team to complete a 2000km continuous mission with an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) under the sea ice in the Arctic or Antarctic. This challenge will be at least three-fold, in terms of under-ice navigation, endurance and environmental monitoring. The Prize details will be announced at the Arctic Science Summit Week in Fairbanks on 15 March.
