Prince is a beast on Guitar. No doubt even Jimi Hendrix would agree

Having talent doesn't require playing a million notes a minute - It requires knowing which notes to play during that minute. Prince had talent.

The last solo on When Doves Cry is insanely underrated. What an incredible section of guitar playing.

Being a producer, a track can get over produced and overwhelmed..for her to say he unproduced it he basically took everything out and left it naked which turned out better than anyone could ever think

Very few people could do all of that.

Prince was far more than a superb guitarist. He was a genius of a musical chameleon, both instrumentally and vocally. His voice, even in falsetto mode, embodied all the basic instruments of rock and soul. Instrumentally, he could play any musical instrument with precision and perfection. He was an astounding artist! "When Doves Cry" proved this, phenomenally! RIP Our Prince of Rock and Soul! There will never be another like you! Tears! Regrets! Say Hi to God for me please.

I'm so tired of them going for hype & trying to feed Peggy ideas hoping she'll start a Van Halen Controversey about Prince. I have the utmost respect for her being totally honest & not falling for it!💜

"He was fine on his own" That was a big understatement! Awesome video!

The way the songs sounded in his head was what we got, so yes he was a genius.

I would love to hear the overstuffed Doves before he started pulling tracks out. Seems like it could be really interesting.

Prince was one of the top echelon guitarists. A virtuoso, through and through.

It’s fascinating to me that Prince is underrated as a guitarist. His rhythm chops are among the best to ever do it and his lead playing is right there as well. His overall musicianship is on full display with every note.

When Doves Cry wasn't the only song at the time he made the guitar wail. Don't forget Let's Go Crazy that had an even more heavy metal waiting guitar sound and solo.
