Ok for when you need to split the line like in an IPC network but for internet networks you might want a managed switch. I used TP-Link but I prefer the Ubiquiti Unifi EdgeSwitch line.

Hi, may be a silly question but I’ve never used this type of set up before. If I have my router in the living room but want to liven up all my network ports, can I plug the one live feed into this tp link then liven up all the network ports including the port in the living room which goes into my router? Just want to double check before purchasing anything. If I was then going to run another tp link in my bed room would the speed drop a lot or be ok? Thank you I’m advance and if that didn’t make sense please let me know 😅
