Jackie Aina’s Fake Makeup Giveaway EXPOSED (with Screenshots!)

Jackie Aina hosted a giveaway on Twitter for Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette. The winner, Hannah, constantly direct messaged Jackie asking about the whereabouts of her giveaway prize. Jackie got annoyed at the repeated messages from Hannah and cancelled her giveaway. Hannah ultimately filed a complaint against Jackie to try to redeem the palette she was promised. We have all of the screenshots and messages between Hannah and Jackie Aina in this video with an update on what ultimately resulted with this matter.

She wasn’t trolling. If Jackie had ordered the palette, she could have just forwarded the confirmation to the girl. She didn’t do it and didn’t want to, period. How you gonna cancel a giveaway bc someone had the nerve to ask when they’d get their prize?

The thing about Jackie Aina is that she'll rightfully call out brands for shade exclusion, but has NO PROBLEM going on brand trips with brands THAT DO THE EXACT SAME THING. She's also pretty nasty and defensive in her comment section when anyone doesn't agree with or suck up to her. Not surprised she did this. She's messy, and has been canceled since last year.

I think a quick message from Jackie telling the girl that her palette was still on the way and that she would send a tracking number when one was available could have solved any and all problems. Yeah, the girl was annoying about it but she wasn’t being mean or nasty. I think it was just unprofessional on Jackies part.

Just to clarify the girl did eventually get the palette only after complaining to ASA.

The girl explained that she was so excited and also nervous because she was living in student accommodation and about to go home and her university was not great at handling packages.

Was she a bit annoying yes, but also Jackie had clearly been on social media and clearly had not sent the palette after three weeks. She only dispatched the palette after the asa complaint and they agreed with Hannah and reached out to Jackie and her team.

And I'm sorry but if a person/company ignored you your first avenue would be to call then to email. So I think Jackie handled this abysmally.

Sometimes I enjoy her videos, but not always, If she tought that girl was pushy, then take care of it ASAP to put it to rest or give the girl a realistic time frame and tell her to wait.

Honestly tho, I really don't think the girl was too pushy at all. There was a decent amount of time between her first messages, until it seemed like she was intentionally being ignored. I'm a pain in the ass when I don't get a response tho... So maybe it's just me lol

It's not the cost of a palette but the principle. First Jackie Aina has a giveaway, never responds to questions and then only when threatened by Hannah of going to the authorities, responds and says basically that because she doesn't like Hannah's actions she, Jackie Aina, does not and will not fulfill her word. How unilaterally special of Jackie Aina. I am glad Hannah had the recourse to go tothe authorities because maybe next time Jackie Aina will not ignore her followers and fulfill her promise. Could you imagine if the show was on the other foot?

It was very UNPROFESSIONAL of Jackie! I don’t care how busy you are, if you host a giveaway and pick the winner you need to follow through! If she’s that busy where she can’t handle her emails then she needs to hire an assistant. She’s a Beauty Guru setting the example for those to follow saying it’s OK to host a giveaway pick a winner then cancel it. NO IT’S NOT OK under any circumstances!!! #sorrynotsorry

I don’t feel like she hounded Jackie. I have no idea why Jackie wouldn’t ship out the palette ASAP like she said she was going to. Why treat a giveaway winner like that? Horrible!! And that girl then apologised to Jackie!! I think Jackie should have waited until she returned from her vacation to do the giveaway. Realize when you're on vacation that you don't feel like working, which is what a Twitter giveaway is for a major YouTube guru like Jackie.






Have a giveaway when you get back home so you can simply announce the giveaway and order the palette to be sent to the winner promptly

If you tell someone that to sign it and ship it would take a week and the person says ok don't bother just send it and you say ok I'll send it then you don't????
If she's too busy to send a prize, she shouldn't have contests plain and simple. It could have been ordered and shipped within minutes online, easy peasy and done!!!
Would have skipped all this drama.

You did a good job of being objective, but part of the reason that the winner was asking so much about the pallet is because she is a college student about to go on break and was worried that if her package was delivered while she was gone it could go missing as she has had similar issues in the past. She did acknowledge that she over reacted and apologized, but had no acknowledgement from Jackie other than to be blocked. I agree with you, this whole thing could have been avoided with some simple guidelines!
