I will say this is very helpful. I want to make movies and TV shows, but needed to know how to properly do a pitch and this gave me a good idea what to do if I ever get to it in life. I have so many ideas, but I know I can't explain every single thing otherwise I will take too much of people's time. So definitely try to explain what your story is about. Mention the important stuff. You can bring up any of the specific dialogue, scenes or other stuff that you would like to have later on once your story's been approved. Just make sure you have the synopsis. It probably doesn't even matter if you have the character names ready. Just as long as you know what you want to do with the story: beginning, middle, and an end, you're good to go. And the Duffers are right to not look off cards when explaining. That makes it look like you don't know your own material. I've experienced this in high school and college when giving presentations on projects I had to do. Especially when I was in a group and our teachers seemed to think we didn't know what we were talking about. So make sure you know what you are saying. Practice what you want to say, even. And show your enthusiasm while doing so 'cause it might get the people in the meeting hooked on.

It's a show. Train in front of an audiance and a mirror. Learn your lines.
